Highlights

The sight of spring water welling directly from Mt. Fuji's lava layer and flowing down the entire rock wall is like nothing else. Combined with the clear waters of the Shibakawa River, a rainbow sometimes forms near the pool. The autumn foliage season is especially popular.

Visitor Guide

A parking lot and shops are provided, and a walking path leads down close to the falls basin. Seeing Shiraito Falls together with Otodome Falls (25 m high) is recommended.

Best Season

April-May, with fresh greenery, and October-November, with autumn foliage, are especially beautiful. In winter, frozen falls are sometimes seen, but care is needed underfoot when it snows.
